Several Green Hairstreaks were at Anglesey Basin and on the heath near the OEC (GE)

Fri 3rd
A White-fronted Goose flew over the North heath around 8pm but wasn't observed settling on the lake (N, IW)
Sun 5th
Over Cuckoo Bank Wheatear numbers had fallen off after last weeks invasion. The same field that held over 40 of them on the 28th April was noted to have over 70 (BM) later in the week. Today about 20 were noted during a brief observation.

There were good numbers of summer visitors; Whitethroats, a few Grasshopper Warblers and a couple of Cuckoos.
Large Red Damselflies were on the wing (N)

There was plenty of invertebrate and tadpole activity in the ditches

A Dunlin was reported from Chasewater (Dunlin image and record D.Jukes)  
Mon 6th

5 reeling Grasshopper Warblers on the North Shore heath (NS)

Tue 7th

Cuckoo Bank fields this evening: 2 male Cuckoos, 2 Red-legged Partridges, 6 Wheatears, 60+ Linnets

This evening at Chasewater: 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Common Tern, 1 pair Gadwall, 14 Tufted Ducks, 1 Buzzard

Gull Roost: 10 Black-headed Gulls, 55 Lesser Black-backs, 1 Great Black-back, about 5 Herring Gulls and 2 (adult, 3cy) Yellow-legged Gulls. (GE)

Wed 8th

7 Dunlin were flying around the lake this evening, frequently attempting to land on the raft in the middle of the lake (GE)

Brought down by the rain, huge numbers (high 100s) of Swifts have been putting on a show over the dam, lake and North shore this afternoon

A Black Tern and 2 Oystercatchers (PW)

28 Mute Swans (including a pair with 4 cygnets on Norton Bog Lagoon), 54 Canada Geese, 57 Mallard, 5 Tufted Ducks, 60 Coot, 9 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Common Tern and a Cormorant (GE)
