Wed 2nd The Glossy Ibis flew in to roost at 19:35 after having spent the day at the Engine Lane horse paddocks.
Fri 4th An Osprey flew over towards Cuckoo Bank around mid-day (VT, JT) and during the evening there were over 200 Sand Martins, 2 Swallows, several singing Willow Warblers and a White Wagtail.
Sat 5th The Glossy Ibis was again present at Engine Lane.
Sun 6th No records for Chasewater but the Glossy Ibis was again present at Engine Lane and presumably roosted on the island.
Tues 8th Over 150 Sand Martins were over the lake.
Thu 10th

Fri 11th Two Shelducks were present (JT, VT).
Tues 15th A Common Tern was present (GE).
Wed 16th On Cuckoo Bank there was a Cuckoo and 4 Grasshopper Warblers were reeling (DO).
Sat 19th Mid morning there were 4 Common Whitethroats, 1-2 Arctic Terns and 2 Common Terns (CM via SBi).

A Grass Snake was seen near the Slurry Pool.
A Tawny Owl is calling each evening at dusk. Garden Warbler and Sedge Warbler are the most recent arrivals.
Sun 20th Staffordshire Wildlife Trust are at Chasewater Innovation Centre all Bank Holiday. Visit them there and become a member. @StaffsWildlife on twitter.

2 Common Terns and 2 Arctic Terns were resting on the buoys near the wakeboarding centre. A Yellow Wagtail flew over the dam and over 60 hirundines were over the lake. The WeBS count produced totals of 45 Mute Swans, 9 Canada Geese, 44 Mallard, 15 Tufted Ducks, 28 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Little Grebes, 70 Coot and a Moorhen (GE).

Sun 27th List of ascomycete fungi updated to 165 species (PT)

10 Arctic Terns flew through at 10:45 with 4 still present during the evening when 5 Common Terns were also present along with a leucistic Herring Gull.
