Sat 1st
Juv Glaucous Gull and adult Mediterranean Gull in roost. Also Great Northern Diver still present and a female Shelduck.
Sun 2nd Juv Glaucous Gull and 1w Caspian Gull in roost. Great Northern Diver around the island. Also pale Northern Herring Gull.
Mon 3rd Adult Iceland Gull, juv Glaucous Gull and 1w Caspian Gull. Great Northern Diver still present.
Tues 4th Juv Glaucous and 2 Caspian Gulls (1w and 2w) in roost. Also Great Northern Diver.
Thu 6th Juv Glaucous Gull and 1w Caspian Gull in roost. Great Northern Diver still at North end.
Fri 7th 2 Iceland Gulls (adult and juv), juv Glaucous Gull, 2 Caspian Gulls (1w,3w) and adult Mediterranean Gull present. Great Northern Diver still at North end.
Sat 8th Juv Glaucous, 1w Caspian and adult Mediterranean Gulls in the roost. No sign of Great Northern Diver.
Sun 9th Juvenile Glaucous Gull and adult Mediterranean Gull. Pipistrelle and Noctule bats.
Tues 11th

Goldfinch images (RJ)


Juv Glaucous Gull, adult Mediterranean Gull and 2 Sand Martins were present.
 
Wed 12th  A juv Glaucous Gull and 1w Caspian Gull were in the roost.
Thu 13th Juv Glaucous Gull in roost. 3 Pintail off the sailing club. Tawny Owl at Cuckoo Bank.
Sun 16th The WeBS count produced totals of 37 Mute Swans, 41 Canada Geese, 37 Mallard, 87 Tufted Ducks, 118 Coot, 2 Moorhens, 29 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Grey Heron and 4 Snipe. Two Chiffchaffs were singing and 2 Buzzards were over Norton Bog (GE).  A 2cy Iceland Gull and a 2cy Glaucous Gull were in the roost.
Mon 17th Juv Glaucous, juv Iceland and 1w Caspian Gulls in the roost.
Wed 19th Juv Glaucous, juv Iceland and 1w Caspian Gulls in the roost. 3 Bramblings Cuckoo Bank.
Thu 20th Juv Glaucous and leucistic Black-headed Gull in roost.
Fri 21st Only 300 large gulls tonight.1w Caspian Gull. No sign of any Glaucous or Iceland Gulls. 100 Sand Martins were reported at 08:00 (Sbi)
Sat 22nd 50 Sand Martins were over the main lake (GE).
Sun 23rd Adult Iceland, juv Glaucous and 1w Caspian Gulls.
2:55pm a Red Kite was seen drifting over the Burntwood area towards Cuckoo Bank (MU).
Mon 24th Juv. Glaucous Gull, 30-40 Sand Martins
Wed 26th Juv Glaucous Gull still present
Thu 27th Again the juv Glaucous Gull and also a Curlew was present on the South Shore at dusk
Fri 28th Juv Glaucous Gull still

The Glossy Ibis is back at Engine Lane and will presumably roost at Chasewater.
Sat 29th  
Sun 30th During the early morning the 2cy Glaucous Gull was on the raft along with 5 Cormorants and a Merlin flew north along the west shore but the Glossy Ibis was not seen on the Island from 06:45 but was feeding at the Engine Lane horse paddocks by 08:15 (GE).
Mon 31st A Willow Warbler was singing below the dam, 2 Sandwich Terns were present during the evening and the 2cy Glaucous Gull roosted.
The Glossy Ibis was again present during the day at Engine Lane but was not seen flying to roost.
