Thurs 1st A pair of Stonechats and 38 Goosanders were present and both the Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser remained till dusk (PW). An adult Caspian Gull and 2 (adult, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls roosted.

Fri 2nd The Velvet Scoter, Red-breasted Merganser and a Chiffchaff were present. On the Swag there were 26 Goosanders (with several more on the Lake) and a Kingfisher. The gull roost was reduced in size and held 2 (adult. 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls.
Sat 3rd The Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser were present till dusk and 2 Pintail were on the Swag (SR). A 1cy Caspian Gull, 3 (2 adult, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls and an adult Mediterranean Gull roosted.
Sun 4th The Velvet Scoter, Red-breasted Merganser and a Chiffchaff were present (JJH). The gull roost held a 1cy Caspian Gull and  5 (3 adult, 3cy, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls.

Mon 5th Misty conditions made viewing dificult but the Velvet Scoter was still present and a 1cy Caspian Gull was seen in the roost.
Tues 6th The Red-breasted Merganser was seen off the Sailing Club in foggy conditions.
Wed 7th The Red-breasted Merganser and Velvet Scoter were still on the Lake (PW).
Thurs 8th The Red-breasted Merganser and Velvet Scoter were present and a pair of Sparrowhawks were over Anglesey Basin (GE).
Fri 9th The Velvet Scoter was off the Sailing Club and the roost held 2 (adult, 1cy) Caspian Gulls and 3 (2 adult, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls.
Sat 10th The Velvet Scoter, 12 Goosanders and a Chiffchaff were present (IM). An adult Caspian Gull and 3 (2 adult, 1cy) Yellow-legged Gulls roosted.
Sun 11th The Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser were still present (GE). A Chiffchaff was seen and the gull roost held 2 (adult, 2cy) Caspian Gulls and 5 (2 adult, 4cy, 3cy, 2cy)  Yellow-legged Gulls.
Mon 12th Foggy conditions resulted in the only record being of an adult Caspian Gull roosting on the water-ski ramp.
Tues 13th The Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser were present for their 15th and 19th day respectively (GE).

Wed 14th The Velvet Scoter was present but there was no sign of the merganser in its usual location near the dam where a 1cy Yellow-legged Gull was bathing (GE).
Thurs 15th The Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser were still present (RE).
Fri 16th Sixty Snipe were present (GR).
Sat 17th The Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser were present and 2 (adult, 3cy) Caspian Gulls, 3 Yellow-legged Gulls (2 adult, 4cy) and 2 adult Mediterranean Gulls roosted.
Sun 18th
The monthly WeBS count produced 79 Mute Swans, 20 Canada Geese, 2 Wigeon, 11 Teal, 112 Mallard, 1 Pintail, 1 Shoveler, 4 Pochard, 756 Tufted Ducks, 1 Velvet Scoter, 44 Goldeneye, 1 Red-breasted Merganser, 7 Goosanders, 31 Cormorants, 3 Grey Herons, 15 Little Grebes, 25 Great Crested Grebes, 22 Moorhens, 1035 Coot and 27 Lapwings. The large gull roost held a 1cy Mediterranean Gull (GE), at least 5 (2 adult, 4cy, 3cy, 1cy) Yellow-legged Gulls and an adult Caspian Gull. A Chiffchaff, Willow Tit, 20 Long-tailed Tits and 12 Collared Doves were also noted.

Mon 19th No records
Tues 20th The Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser have now been present for 21 and 26 days respectively. Two adult Caspian Gulls and 3 (2 adult, 4cy) Yellow-legged Gulls roosted.
Wed 21st The Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser were present along with 11 Goosanders (GE).
Thurs 22nd The Velvet Scoter and Red-breasted Merganser continue to entertain and the roost held 2 (adult, 1cy) Caspian Gulls and 4 (2 adult, 2 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls.
Fri 23rd Two Stonechats were present (KW). Two (adult, 1cy) Caspian Gulls and an adult Yellow-legged Gull were seen in the roost despite heavy rain limiting visibility.
Sat 24th The Velvet Scoter was still present and a sub-adult Iceland Gull, a new adult Mediterranean Gull and 5 (3 adult, 4cy, 3cy) Yellow-legged Gulls roosted (JA).
Sun25th The Velvet Scoter was off Target Point until dusk. There was no sign of the Iceland Gull in the roost but a new 2cy Caspian Gull and 4 (3 adult, 4cy) Yellow-legged Gulls were present.
Mon 26th The Velvet Scoter was present and an adult Yellow-legged Gull roosted.
Tues 27th The Velvet Scoter and 3 Yellow-legged Gulls were seen (JA).

Sat 31st The Velvet Scoter has made it to the end of the year (a stay of 32 days so far) and the gull roost held an adult Glaucous Gull, an adult Caspian Gull and 5 (3 adult, 3cy, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls (JA).
