Fri 1st Two Shelduck were on the lake (PW).The Ring-necked Parakeet was again around the west shore, 2 Greylag Geese were on the north shore and the gull roost held 3 (2 adult, 3cy)) Caspian Gulls and 3 (2 adult, 2cy)) Yellow-legged Gulls.
Sat 2nd The Ring-necked Parakeet was in and around the Waterski compound from 15:30 and a Short-eared Owl was hunting over the north shore until the rain started. Two adult Caspian Gulls (plus a distant possible 2cy bird) and an adult Yellow-legged Gull roosted.
Sun 3rd The Ring-necked Parakeet was around the main car park and roosted in the west shore willows. The gull roost held an adult Caspian Gull, 3 (2 adult, 5cy) Yellow-legged Gulls and an adult Mediterranean Gull.
Mon 4th The two Caspian Gulls were together with the larger bird appearing to present a  piece of wood to the smaller bird. Two (adult, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls and the adult Mediterranean Gull were also in the roost.
Tues 5th A Short-eared Owl was present during the morning along with 24 Wigeon, 6 Gadwall and 40 Goldeneye (ICW).
At Stubber's Green there was an adult Mediterranean Gull, 16 Common Gulls, 550 Black-headed Gulls, 205 Herring Gulls, 40 Great Black-backed Gulls and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (GE).
Wed 6th No records.
Thurs 7th The Short-eared Owl was showing well (SK). The Ring-necked Parakeet was calling at 15:25 and the gull roost held 4 (2 adult, 3cy, 2cy) Caspian Gulls and 3 (2 adult, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls.
Fri 8th Two Treecreepers were at the feeding station (GWoo). The Ring-necked Parakeet was present at 15:45 and a 2cy Caspian Gull and adult Yellow-legged Gull roosted.
Sat 9th The Ring-necked Parakeet flew in at 15:15 and an adult Caspian Gull and 2 (adult, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls roosted.
Sun 10th The Short-eared Owl was hunting over the west shore during the late afternoon and the Ring-necked Parakeet flew in at 16:25 and 3 (adult, 3cy, 2cy) Caspian Gulls roosted (SR et al).
Mon 11th The Short-eared Owl was seen at 15:30 and 16:45 and the Ring-necked Parakeet at 16:00. Two Greylag Geese, 7 Goosanders and a Kingfisher were present and the gull roost held 3 (adult, 3cy, 2cy) Caspian Gulls and 5 (2 adult, 5cy, 4cy, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls.
Tues 12th Heavy rain inhibited sightings but a 2cy Iceland Gull, adult Caspian Gull and 2cy Yellow-legged Gull were in the roost.
Wed 13th During the morning there were 3 Willow Tits, 4 Goosanders, 18 Wigeon, 25 Little Grebes, 19 Great Crested Grebes and a Stonechat (ICW). Four Muntjac were on the heath. The Ring-necked Parakeet showed well around the Water-ski Club compound during the afternoon and the gull roost held a 2cy Iceland Gull briefly at 16:15 and 2 (adult, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls.
Thurs 14th
The Ring-necked Parakeet showed quite well from 15:55 (KW).

Fri 15th The monthly WeBS count produced 78 Mute Swans, 27 Canada Geese, 1 hybrid Canada x Greylag Goose, 109 Mallard, 25 Wigeon, 4 Pochard, 239 Tufted Ducks, 42 Goldeneye, 5 Goosanders, 20 Cormorants, 2 Grey Herons, 16 Little Grebes, 19 Great Crested Grebes, 6 Moorhens, 731 Coot and 4 Lapwings. A male Stonechat, a Chiffchaff and 2 Grey Wagtails were also present and at least 8 Reed Buntings were at the Feeding Station. What is presumed to be the returning hybrid Lesser Black-backed x Ring-billed Gull was in the roost along with 2 adult Caspian Gulls (GE et al).
Sat 16th The Short-eared Owl was hunting over the west shore and the Ring-necked Parakeet showed well. The gull roost again held the adult hybrid Lesser Black-backed x Ring-billed Gull, a 2cy Caspian Gull and 2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls.

Sun 17th The Ring-necked Parakeet appeared at 15:40 and the roost held 3 (adult, 4cy, 2cy) Caspian Gulls, 3 (2 adult, 2cy) Yellow-legged Gulls and an adult Mediterranean Gull.
An adult Caspian Gull was in a field near the Poplars Landfill, Cannock.
Mon 18th  The Ring-necked Parakeet and 3 Shelduck were present and a 2cy Iceland Gull and adult Yellow-legged Gull roosted (JA, GE et al).
Tues 19th A 2cy Iceland Gull was present at 16:30 (JA).
Wed 20th  The Ring-necked Parakeet, an adult Yellow-legged Gull and an adult Mediterranean Gull were present (JA).
Thurs 21st An adult Iceland Gull roosted (JA).
At Stubber's Green there were 650 Black-headed Gulls, 220 Herring Gulls, an adult Yellow-legged Gull, 50 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 23 Great Black-backed Gulls and 8 Common Gulls (GE).
Fri 22nd The Ring-necked Parakeet was present at 16:10. Two (2cy 4cy) Caspian Gulls, 2 (adult, 3cy) Yellow-legged Gulls and an adult Mediterranean Gull roosted.
At Kingswood there was an adult Caspian Gull and an adult Yellow-legged Gull.
Sat 23rd

Goosander on the canal (KW)

A pair of Stonechats were on the north heath (PW). The Ring-necked Parakeet was seen at 15:35 and 2 (adult, 4cy) Caspian Gulls and an adult Yellow-legged Gull roosted.
A 2cy Mediterranean Gull was near Cannock Tip (N).
Sun 24th
An adult Brent Goose was present (James) via twitter

The Ring-necked Parakeet appeared at 16:10. The roost held a 4cy Iceland Gull, 2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls and an adult Mediterranean Gull.
Mon 25th The Ring-necked Parakeet was seen at 15:45. The roost held 2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls and an adult Mediterranean Gull.

At Stubber's Green there was a ringed (Yellow PLEP) 6cy Caspian Gull which has also been recorded at Flamborough Head in September 2015 and August 2014. It was ringed in one of the mixed Polish colonies where parentage isn't always recorded due to the high numbers of hybrids. We await the full details of this bird with interest (GE).
Tues 26th An Oystercatcher was on the point by the dam and 14 Cormorants were on the raft (PW). The gull roost held 3 2 adult, 3cy) Yellow-legged Gulls and an adult Mediterranean Gull (JA).
At Kingswood there was a 2cy Caspian Gull in the fields (JA).
At Stubber's Green there were 2 (adult, sub-adult (PLEP)) Caspian Gulls (KC).
Wed 27th During the morning a Raven, Water Rail, 14 redpolls and an adult Mediterranean Gull were present. The gull roost held a sub-adult Glaucous Gull, a 2cy Iceland Gull, 2 (adult, 2cy) Caspian Gulls, an adult Mediterranean Gull and 2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls.
Thurs 28th A Treecreeper was in the west shore wood and the Ring-necked Parakeet was seen at 15:50. The roost held the sub-adult Glaucous Gull, 3 ( 2 adults, 2cy) Mediterranean Gulls and 4 (3 adults, 3cy) Yellow-legged Gulls.
At Stubber's Green the sub-adult Glaucous Gull, 6cy Caspian Gull (PLEP) and an adult Mediterranean Gull were present (GE et al).

Fri 29th The Ring-necked Parakeet and a pair of Pintail were present. Two 2cy Caspian Gulls and 4 (3 adults, 3cy) Yellow-legged Gulls roosted.
Sat 30th The Ring-necked Parakeet arrived at 16:10. Four (2 adults, 4cy, 2cy) Caspian Gulls, 5 (3 adults, 4cy, 3cy)  Yellow-legged Gulls and 2 adult Mediterranean Gulls roosted.
Sun 31st The Ring-necked Parakeet was present at 16:05. The gull roost held a 2cy Caspian Gull, 3 (2 adults, 3cy) Yellow-legged Gull and 2 (adult, 2cy) Mediterranean Gulls and over 1000 large gulls arrived after 17:20.
