Sat 1st Fifteen Black-tailed Godwits, a Curlew and over a hundred Swifts flew north over Cuckoo Bank (CwS).
A Hummingbird Hawkmoth was seen at No Man's Bank (CwS).

Two male Keeled Skimmers were present in the North Marsh. The Yellow-bellied Slider variety of Red-eared Terrapin has survived for another year and was again hiding amongst the water-lilies in Anglesey Basin where a juvenile Willow Tit was present. 75 Tufted Ducks, 4 Oystercatchers, a Common Tern and a Kingfisher were also noted (GE).

Five male and 2 egg-laying female Keeled Skimmers were present along with 6 Black-tailed Skimmers, 2 Four-spotted Chasers and single Broad-bodied Chaser, Brown Hawker, Common Darter and a very large horsefly Tabanus sp. Two Common Terns and some noisy Oystercatchers were also noted (GE).

Tues 11th A circuit of the lake during a wet early morning produced 4 Oystercatchers, 3 Common Sandpipers, 4 Common Terns, 30 Pied Wagtails and 2 Grey Wagtails (GE).
Wed 12th A Dunlin, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 5 Oystercatchers, 6 Common Sandpipers, up to 8 Common Terns and a juvenile Cuckoo were present (PW).
Thurs 13th The juvenile Cuckoo was still present along with at least 6 Common Terns, 2 Little Ringed Plovers and 4 Oystercatchers. Gatekeepers and Ringlets were on the wing (PW).

Mon 17th A summer-plumaged Black-tailed Godwit was present along with 4 Oystercatchers, 3 (2 adult, 1 juv) Little Ringed Plovers and up to 6 Common Terns (PW). A Large Marsh Horsefly Tabanus autumnalis was seen this afternoon while looking for dragonflies (CwS).
Tues 18th The Black-tailed Godwit was present until around 20:00 when it flew out over the dam. A Little Egret, 4 (2adult, 2 juv) Little Ringed Plovers and 5 Common Terns were also present (PW).
Wed 19th The monthly WeBS count produced 84 Mute Swans, 38 Canada Geese, 175 Mallard, 108 Tufted Ducks, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Little Grebe, 34 Great Crested Grebes, 21 Moorhens, 351 Coot, 2 Oystercatchers, 6 Lapwings, 5 (1 juv) Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Common Sandpiper and 5 Common Terns. Round 36 Round-leaved Wintergreens were noted in the marsh but only four appeared mature enough to flower (GE).

Two Oystercatchers, 3 Little Ringed Plovers, a Common Sandpiper and a Common Tern were present (PW).

Sat 22nd A Little Egret, 3 Oystercatchers, a Little Ringed Plover, a Common Sandpiper and 3 Common Terns were present along with a good selection of butterflies including a Painted Lady, Comma, Peacock, Red Admiral, Small Copper, Small Heath, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Ringlet, Small Skipper and Speckled Wood (PW).

The Little Egret, 7 Oystercatchers, 4 Common Sandpipers, 5 Common Terns and 7 Cormorants were present (PW).

Mon 24th An adult summer-plumaged Sanderling, a juvenile Dunlin, 2 Oystercatchers, 2 Common Sandpipers and 2 Common Terns were present (PW).
Tues 25th The Little Egret, 2 Oystercatchers, 2 Common Sandpipers and 2 Common Terns were noted (PW).
Wed 26th Two Oystercatchers, 2 Common Sandpipers and 2 Stock Doves were seen (PW).
Thurs 27th A Whimbrel flew north-west at 11:40, the Little Egret, an adult Dunlin, juvenile Ringed Plover, juvenile Little Ringed Plover, a Kingfisher, 2 Common Sandpipers and 5 Common Terns were present (PW).
Fri 28th Two Little Egrets, an adult Ringed Plover, 2 Oystercatchers, 2 Common Sandpipers and 2 Common Terns were present (PW).

Sun 30th The Little Egret, a Hobby, 2 Oystercatchers, 3 Common Terns and several Willow Warblers were noted (PW).
Mon 31st The Little Egret, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Common Sandpipers and a Common Tern were noted (PW).
